  • Palmetto Bay Park

    – Palmetto Bay park has a lot to offer on a sunny Miami day. Although I did get a little lost trying to find it, I would still go again. The playground area is extremely large and has two playgrounds one for older kids and one for toddler age kids.  I love the fact that the actual playground area is shaded but it seems like there is no shade for the parents on the benches throughout the park.

  • Krafty Kids

    – As a child I enjoyed staying inside and drawing or doing some sort of craft rather than being outside playing. Now that I’m a mother, aunt and godmother I’m always encouraging the kids to be creative and to be proud of their drawings and crafts. From Micheals Craft’s to the Dollar Store there is always a place to buy supplies for your little artist. Recently I’ve been searching the internet to find modern and unique supplies. Check out some of my favorites below!

  • two words… potty training!

So I bought the training toilet, the pull ups and all I need now is some serious patience! Today was officially our first day of potty training. Speaking with my cousin who has a 4 year old made be very aware of how long this might take, then again she has a little boy and they say girls learn quicker. I’m curious to see if this is true. Exactly how long should it take? I’ve read you should start them at about 18- 24 months so I’m assuming she is ready now that she has just turned 2. I’m open to comments so if anyone out there has any advise please lay it on me!
