Modern Holiday Photo Cards

November 29, 2010

– Buy the perfect outfit, pick your location and snap away! I’ve taken my Christmas pictures and  created my Christmas photo card using Tiny Prints 2010 Holiday Cards and am now waiting for their delivery. It was hard choosing the right card with so many photo card options. They offer many different types of cards and some even allow you to change the color of the card. I helped a friend of mine order her Christmas photo cards today. She had gone to Kiddie Kandid’s but they had the same background which they had last year. So, I mentioned to her that I usually take my own pictures and use an online card and invitation site to have them printed. There are some amazing outdoor parks to use as the perfect background. I took my pictures at the Coral Gables ruins and she did hers at Pinecrest Gardens. They both came out gorgeous! And remember that we did it all on our own! Well, I hope you all become inspired by our  Christmas cards and decide to go out there and do your own. Remember that it tends to get crowded at these parks so try to get there early. Keep snacks, drinks and small toys to keep the children happy while you photograph them. Good luck!

Below are some of my favorite photo spots and cards to help you come up with a great idea for this years holiday card.  If you don’t feel comfortable behind the camera just hire a photographer and have them put the photos on a CD.  I hope you all find this information useful and I would love to see your holiday cards!

Holiday Card Ideas

You can go with a more traditional holiday outfit or do something  casual. This year I am going to do a fun holiday card and include our family dogs. What ever direction you choose to go in,  just make it fun for the kids! I like to use fun props and keep some of my daughters favorite treats with me while we are shooting. I also like to involve my daughter in the photo shoot. For example, I will ask her where she thinks we should take the picture and show her the pictures once I take them.
