Fruits and veggies, what all parents need to know.

We all know the benefits of eating our fruits and vegetables but for some reason the majority of Americans are over weight and have many health problems which can be prevented by eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Most of us, including myself are guilty of feeding our family convenience foods. And after my husband and I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead we decided that we couldn’t continue to eat unhealthy anymore and we ordered a juicer right away.

Dr. Joel Fuhrman offers some great books and information and I suggest that you all read his book “Disease-Proof your Child”. It was a slap in the face when we realized what harm we were doing to our child. Although my daughter doesn’t drink soda and does eat her vegetables sometimes it just isn’t enough.
